The Memorial Tournament last week solidified the fact that Golf is losing appeal not only to me but to countless millions of others as well. I dont know what Jack was or is thinking. He should have called the tournament a no go and said it would have to be replayed the first free week after the end of the regular season. He should have paid say 3 or 4 thousand dollars as say expense money to all that played on the Saturday and the Sunday and redont the tournament as I mentioned above. How the hell can you have a loser as a winner when he backs into it after making dozens or "errors" in the four days and then makes a couple of good shots OR makes one or two less bad shots than the next three or four closest contenders and then comes out ahead. Sorry but that is bullshiiiit. You want a winner who plays well and wins. What woods did was not winning. IT WAS A TRAVISTY IN AND FOR GOLF AND SHOULD NOT BE REWARDED AS A WIN TO ANYONE. As well, no one especially woods does not deserve over a million dollars for such a shoddy show at what should be a round (or in this case four rounds) of golf.
When the finish came and Jack gave tiger the award (trophy) it was one of the total worst times in sports. Just as bad as back in the 20's when the baseball team took a dive for cash and let the other team win the world series.
A lot of us will not be watching or following golf on TV any longer until they clean up the sport and make things right again.
